Lake Gwelup Physiotherapy is an independent, practitioner-owned physiotherapy clinic located within Gwelup Medical Centre, serving Gwelup and Perth’s northern suburbs since 2018.

We provide thorough, evidence-informed physiotherapy in a professional and welcoming environment. As an independent clinic, we are free from corporate KPIs and external performance targets, allowing us to focus on honest advice, personalised care and continuity of treatment.

Our physiotherapists are AHPRA-registered, university qualified and each have more than 10 years of clinical experience across private practice, sports and occupational health settings. Our focus is on detailed assessment, clear explanation of findings and structured rehabilitation planning to support recovery, mobility and long-term physical health.

Our Team

Chris Warne – Principal & Senior Physiotherapist
Master of Physiotherapy, Bachelor of Science (Anatomical Sciences). Australian Physiotherapy Association Musculoskeletal, Sports and Exercise and Aquatic Member.

Chris Warne is the principal physiotherapist and founder of Lake Gwelup Physiotherapy and brings over a decade of private practice experience to the clinic, much of it dedicated to supporting the Gwelup community and Perth’s northern suburbs. He holds a Master of Physiotherapy from Curtin University and a Bachelor of Science (Anatomical Sciences) from the University of Western Australia and is registered with AHPRA. Chris is an active member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association, including the Musculoskeletal, Sports & Exercise and Aquatic Physiotherapy groups.

Chris has completed extensive post-graduate professional development through APA-approved and evidence-based courses, with additional training in dry needling, TMJ and jaw pain management, vertigo and vestibular rehabilitation, sports injury rehabilitation, hydrotherapy, balance and falls prevention, and post-operative orthopaedic rehabilitation. He regularly attends professional development courses to ensure his treatment approaches remain current and evidence-informed.

Earlier in his career, Chris taught human anatomy in the University of Western Australia wet labs, strengthening his knowledge of anatomy and biomechanics. He has also worked with local AFL, soccer and cricket clubs across Perth’s northern suburbs and has more than ten years’ experience delivering physiotherapist-guided hydrotherapy and rehabilitation programs, particularly for post-operative knee and hip replacements.

Chris is known for thorough assessments, clear explanations and practical treatment planning. He regularly assists patients with back and neck pain, sports injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, vertigo and complex musculoskeletal conditions, with a focus on helping people return to work, sport and everyday activity with confidence.
