About This Community
The federal electorate of Wide Bay has an approximate area of 15,000 km².
It is comprised of 177 suburbs including Aldershot, Amamoor, Anderleigh, Antigua, Araluen, Aramara, Banks Pocket, Barlil, Bauple, Bauple Forest, Beaver Rock, Beenaam Valley, Bella Creek, Bells Bridge, Bidwill, Black Mountain, Black Snake, Bollier, Boonara, Boonooroo, Boonooroo Plains, Boreen Point, Brooloo, Brooweena and Byee plus parts of another 14 suburbs.
It is comprised of 28 localities including Amamoor Creek, Barambah, Boompa, Booubyjan, Cinnabar, Cooloola, Doongul, Fraser Island, Gigoomgan, Glenbar, Imbil, Kilkivan, Lake Borumba, Malarga, Manumbar, Mount Urah, Mudlo, Noosa North Shore, St Mary, Tansey, Toolara Forest, Tuan Forest, Upper Glastonbury, Upper Kandanga and Widgee plus parts of another 2 localities.
It is comprised of the councils of Cherbourg, Gympie and Noosa plus parts of Fraser Coast and South Burnett.
It is comprised of the state electorates of Gympie and Noosa plus parts of Hervey Bay, Maryborough, Nanango and Nicklin.
It is surrounded by the federal electorates of Blair, Fairfax, Flynn, Hinkler and Maranoa.
