The state electorate of Wendouree has an approximate area of 110 km².
It is comprised of the suburbs of Alfredton, Ballarat Central, Ballarat North, Black Hill, Chapel Flat, Delacombe, Invermay, Invermay Park, Lake Gardens, Lake Wendouree, Mount Rowan, Nerrina, Newington, Redan, Soldiers Hill and Wendouree plus parts of Bakery Hill, Ballarat East, Brown Hill, Glen Park, Sulky, Wattle Flat and Winter Valley.
It is within the council of Ballarat City.
It is surrounded by the state electorates of Buninyong and Ripon.
It is within the federal electorate of Ballarat.
