Kiama Area

Kiama’s dramatic coastline, rolling green hills and volcanic plugs make it one of the most picturesque spots on the South Coast. The town is famed for its blowhole, but there is also a smaller, more active blowhole around the headland that fewer people find. The Kiama Coast Walk hugs the cliffs between Minnamurra and Gerringong, passing secluded coves and basalt columns. Locals swim in the natural rock pool beneath the little blowhole and take a short detour inland to a disused basalt quarry filled with turquoise water, a serene swimming spot on warm days.

Kiama Council has an approximate area of 260 km².

It is within the state electorate of Kiama.
