Community Directory - Mundaring

About Shire Of Mundaring Community Directory

The Mundaring Community Directory functions as a one‑stop directory of programs, organisations and resources within the Mundaring community. A built‑in search tool lets visitors filter listings by category, organisation or keyword.

Popular categories include:

  • Aboriginal services and support
  • Accommodation and housing assistance
  • Advocacy and legal aid

In addition to service listings, the directory offers links to explore the wider community and discover hidden gems and acknowledgement of traditional owner groups and local Indigenous culture. By bringing services together in one place, the directory fosters collaboration and helps residents navigate the diverse support and activities available.

Find Local & Visiting Services in Shire Of Mundaring

The Mundaring community directory covers a broad range of categories, from Aboriginal services, accommodation assistance and advocacy to ageing, animal welfare, arts and creative programs, child services, communication and information, community centres and clubs, crisis and emergency services, cultural and migrant support, disability services, education, employment and training, environment and conservation, health care, legal assistance, recreation and leisure, religion, self-help, sport, transport, volunteering and youth programmes.

Many categories feature a small number of local providers—for example, the directory lists a dozen or more health, accommodation or ageing services and a few community centres and clubs.

While core services such as basic healthcare, community halls and sporting clubs are available locally, residents often depend on regional organisations or visiting specialists for more complex health, disability, cultural and environmental programmes.

Mundaring Region

Nestled among tall eucalypts, the Mundaring Region plays an important role in Western Australia’s water history thanks to the Goldfields Pipeline. Bushwalks, art galleries and cafés make it a popular retreat from the city. Locals hike across the dam wall and along the heritage trail tracing the pipeline, learning of engineer C.Y. O’Connor’s vision. On summer evenings they spread blankets at an outdoor cinema under the trees where kookaburras sometimes join the chorus.

Mundaring Council has an approximate area of 640 km².

It is comprised of parts of the state electorates of Kalamunda, Midland and Swan Hills.
