Crisis & Emergency Accommodation

About Us

Y-SHAC assists young people aged 15-20 who are homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness with crisis accommodation, and those aged 16-25 with transitional housing.

The service offers 24-hour support from youth workers, advocacy, and referrals to specialist services. It also includes independent living activities, goal setting, and a Drug Education and Support Service focused on harm minimisation.

Young people are assisted in restoring or maintaining family relationships that should enable them to return home or, where appropriate, move to more stable long-term accommodation, and reduce the likelihood of future homelessness.
